Practice Ice

2020-21 COVID Practice Ice Plan

DECEMBER 28: PRACTICE ICE IS CURRENTLY SUSPENDED DUE TO AN UNEXPECTED PLANT FAILURE THAT OCCURRED OVER THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND. FURTHER UPDATE WILL BE PROVIDED IN DUE COURSE.

(subject to revision – current to December 14, 2020)

1. Current Public Health Orders permit practice ice for individuals only therefore practice ice will be limited to one curler per sheet per session. One coach is permitted but may only instruct from the sideline.

2. Advance booking only, minimum 48 hours, by email office@richmondcurling.com
• Phone bookings will only be accepted during office hours, currently 10am-2pm M-F. As staffing is limited, phone messages will not be checked outside office hours so please use email to ensure your booking is confirmed.

• All bookings must be paid for at the time of booking. Email bookings will be confirmed by a return email with a link to register and pay through our online system and must be paid before coming to the club for practice. Please do not choose the cash/cheque option at checkout as the pro-shop may not always have staff available to collect payment.

• Drop-in is not permitted at this time as we will be scheduling staff based on advance bookings only.

3. Limit of one hour per session. You must sign in before curling to confirm your attendance. This is required for contact tracing should the need arise.

4. Please be prompt and arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your start time, and ensure you leave the ice on time after one hour.

5. Masks are mandatory. Please put your mask on before entering the building.

6. Please wipe rock handles before and after practice using the sanitizing wipes provided.

7. You must maintain a distance of 3m (10’) between yourself and others at all times while on the ice. This is a new safe-distance requirement for practice sport from the most recent public health order.
